Now what must we do? Put away our swimming costumes and take out our scarfs.
Go to your cupboard and decide what you need. T-shirts and trousers can stay, but now you need boots instead of sandals. No more little skirts and shorts, no more sun cream and beach towels… now you need to think about keeping warm and cosy in your house.
What do you like about the Autumn? The leaves changing colours? The warm days and cold nights? Or the thought that in a few months, you will be decorating the Christmas tree and thinking what to buy for your family.
Memories of summer: what did you do? What do you eat, and with whom? Did you walk, did you swim? My memories of summer are: ham and melon, beach sand, blue water and bare feet. I saw children playing by the sea and heard them laughing. Now I put on my long socks and cover my hands with gloves. I go for walks in the forest and watch the world get ready for the winter. I get ready for winter.
I think about next year: when will the Spring come? Where will I be? How will I feel? Whatever happens, I will be there to welcome the sun again… and the sea, the sky and the long, hot days. How wonderful! That every summer turns to Autumn. Every Autumn turns to winter… and every Winter, to Spring.
