Vocabolario

Avere un buon vocabolario inglese è una delle basi migliori per parlare fluentemente e comprendere al meglio una conversazione. Conoscere molti termini, però, non significa necessariamente avere una buona conoscenza del lessico inglese.
Possedere un ampio vocabolario inglese, infatti, non consiste nell’imparare a memoria una lista di parole, ma saperle usare in modo corretto.

Oggi vedremo una lista di parole e termini e dopo averle memorizzate, dovrete dimostrare di saper usare il lessico inglese correttamente.

  • A HIGHLIGHT is the most enjoyable, interesting or memorable moment of an event or experience.
  • To be or feel RELIEVED means to be free from worries, pain or anxiety.
  • THE CUTTING EDGE is the front position of any activity, subject or profession.
  • TO FIND OUT means to learn the truth about someone or something.
  • TO GET AHEAD means to move forward or to be successful in one’s career or plans.
  • TO LOOK FORWARD TO means to expect or anticipate someone or something with enthusiasm or excitement.
  • TO RUN OUT OF means to finish a quantity of something.
  • TOUCHY describes a person or situation that is overly sensitive, easily upset or irritated.
